Kay Legg's Story Book
November 8,2007
On our last update we reported that Kay's needle biopsy that was prompted by potential suspicious activity from her one year mammogram proved to be benign. I also mentioned that it might be a couple of weeks before we heard about the mri results (even though they were done on the same day). Two and a half weeks passed and we had almost forgotten about the results. Then on a Tuesday night, the doctor called at 6pm to report that the mri did indeed show some potential tumors. As a result we have scheduled another needle biopsy on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
In the midst of this Kay's mom who lives in a nursing home has suffered a setback and has had to be hospitalized. Please pray that God would give us peace in the midst of turmoil. Thanks! Joe Legg
Kay's Biopsy
Thank you for praying for Kay's needle biopsy. As you may recall, Kay had a mastectomy a year and a couple of months ago. At her 1 year mammogram, the doctor noticed suspicious activity in her remaining breast. The recommendation was to do another mammogram in six months. Not being satisfied with that, Kay arranged for another doctor to do a mri and needle biopsy. We got the results of the needle biopsy Tuesday of this week and the suspicious tissue was benign. We are grateful for that news! It may be another week or two until we hear the results of the mri. Thanks for your concern and prayers and support.
